Funding And Costs

Keeping the service free

This service is free for those seen, but there are obviously costs involved for the NZ Lions. We are very grateful for the wonderful support we have received from Dean and Cushla Williamson at Agri HQ. It has been a privilege to continue with the original concept of care for those living in the rural community.

All Lion members give their services voluntarily, which means donated funding can go directly into running and sustaining the project.

A service designed to keep going

"My Health Check" has proved to be a very successful screening project for those living in our rural communities. We have worked hard to maintain a caring, empathetic, and professional service.

By constant review and audit, we intend to continue this project, and hopefully, sometime in the future, expand it to wider geographical areas.

If we only save one life, be it from a mental or medical disorder, our efforts have been thoroughly worthwhile. This has already happened.

We invite you to be part of this vision.

We gratefully recognise the wonderful support we have received from Dean and Cushla Williamson at Agri HQ. It has been a privilege to continue with their original concept of care for those in the rural community.
